Three Former Vancouver Canadians Taken in NHL Draft
All three played on the Canadians during the 2006/2007 season.
Former Canadian Evander Kane was drafted in the first round, 4th overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Evander was with the Canadians during the 2006/2007 season where in 30 games he had 22 goals, 32 assists for 54 points.

Another former Canadian Cam Reid was also drafted in the seventh round, 182nd overall by the Nashville Predators.
in 40 games with the Canadians, Cam had 23 goals, 28 assists, for 51 points.

Goaltender Adam Morrison was drafted by Philidelphia in the 3rd round, 82nd overall.
